With the focus set firmly on the needs of learner, 18th of July 2012 saw the Principal of Coleg Ceredigion, Jacqui Weatherburn and the Head of Penglais Secondary School, Haydn Davey, sign a new Memorandum of Agreement to cement a closer working relationship between their two institutions. The partnership will see the college and school working together in a range of areas including; Curriculum Planning, Welsh language developments, professional development for staff, pastoral support and shared physical resources.
The Principal of Coleg Ceredigion, Jacqui Weatherburn said, “This exciting development cements the long standing and positive relationship between our two institutions. The Memorandum will enable us to further enhance our partnership to better serve the needs of young people in north Ceredigion and its borders. The partnership mirrors those the college has with schools in the south and centre of Ceredigion, which are already making a difference to the learner. The college and its Board of Governors is delighted to be taking this initiative forward”.
Haydn Davey, the Head of Penglais Secondary School said, “The school is delighted to work closely with the college in extending the provision available for students at the school as well as sharing resources and expertise in teaching, training and curriculum partnership so that both institutions can benefit”.
