Bilingualism

Bilingualism on your course

“The Welsh language is very important when working with children. I had the opportunity to follow my course through the medium of Welsh and this was a great help to me”.
Siân Evans, Childcare and Education.

Ceredigion benefits from a strong bilingual society, and Coleg Ceredigion reflects this through our ethos and the way in which we run our courses. There are countless benefits to bilingualism including facilitating education, increasing career options, extending cultural experiences, as well as opening many doors – personally and professionally.

As part of your course you will be introduced to bilingualism in many forms, and you will be encouraged to partake in bilingual activities within the classroom. Don’t let this scare you! Here at Coleg Ceredigion we have a Bilingualism Team to support you.

“I did my coursework in Welsh. It wasn’t as hard as I’d thought it would be, and there’s plenty of help available”.
Sion Edwards, Brickwork.

If you’d like any information on bilingualism or details of course to learn Welsh, contact the Bilingualism Team through Reception at either Campus.
