Commercial Services and Enterprise Department

Whether you run an established business, or just starting out, maintaining a well trained workforce is essential. Alternatively, you may want to enhance your own personal skills to improve your employability. The award winning Commercial Services and Enterprise Department can help you do all this.

A comprehensive range of accredited statutory courses including First Aid, Health & Safety and Food Safety are available, and as an accredited British Institute of Inn Keeping (BII) centre, we can offer a variety of courses for the licence trade. We can also provide bespoke training courses at a place and time that suits you (subject to numbers). Bespoke courses can include the following: Time Management; Effective Delegation; Managing People; Dealing with Difficult Clients.

We also offer Diplomas in the Workplace in a wide range of areas, which include Health and Social Care; Childcare and Young People; and Accountancy Technician. Funding may also be available. Please contact the Commercial Services and Enterprise Department for further information. The Unit can also offer advice and support if you’re thinking of setting up in business during or after your time at college.
