Careers Advice and Higher Education

Coleg Ceredigion offers all students whether full-time or part-time, the

opportunity to develop personal skills and qualities through its Careers Education and Guidance Programme, regardless of culture, ability, gender or social background. Our policy aims to help all students

  • find out about education, training and career opportunities
  • make choices about career paths
  • implement their plans and manage change

Coleg Ceredigion has achieved the Careers Wales Quality Award for excellence and continually monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of its Careers Education and Guidance provision.

Careers advice and guidance is delivered in partnership with Careers Wales. As a college student you can access careers guidance throughout your programme of study.  Careers Wales Advisers visit both college campuses regularly to provide advice and guidance for full-time and part-time students of all ages.  A flexible and confidential appointment system operates throughout the academic year.

The Careers Advisers are able to help you find information on college and university courses and help with applications for jobs or training courses.  You will also get support on CV creation, personal statements and interview technique.  Students needing extra help in planning their future steps will have access to additional support and specialist Careers Advice.
