Programme Description

Health and wellbeing have become a strategic consideration for businesses. Increasingly organisations need to focus on both what they do and how they do it. It is reported that sickness absence due to mental ill health alone costs the UK economy more than £8bn per year. An organisation that is healthy and well is more likely to be productive, innovative and competitive.

Over this one-day course, individuals will learn why it is important to manage fluctuations in people's health, what to consider in a health needs assessment, how to recognise a 'well' employee, and how to help co-workers return to work after an illness. Learners will gain the tools and techniques to improve health and wellbeing across your organisation.

Upon successful completion learners can expect to see results such as improved organisation-wide awareness of health and wellbeing, leading to a healthier and more productive workplace. Fewer hours are lost due to ill-health and reduced presenteeism, resulting in greater productivity and proactive staff involvement to improve the workplace.
