Programme Description

Lean Six Sigma offers the best of both the Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, helping to standardise work, eliminate waste and defects, improve customer satisfaction, and help the business become more profitable. A certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is a professional who is trained in advanced Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools, responsible for leading complex improvement projects in all areas of an organisation, as well as training and mentoring Yellow and Green Belts.

Topics covered in this course include Six Sigma fundamentals, introduction to flow and pull, introduction to Six Sigma statistics, kano analysis, process capability, design of experiments. The role of a Black Belt, change management, hypothesis testing non-normal data, advanced regression analysis and fractional factorial experiments to name a few.

With an exam at the end of the course learners will be able to use a variety of analytical and graphical tools associated with Six Sigma at a Black Belt level. Correctly select, utilise and interpret the results from several core analytical tools and demonstrate a robust knowledge of the correct usage of objective data in improvement projects.

Who is it for?

This course is ideal for individuals who currently hold a Green Belt certificate and who are looking to take their knowledge and experience to the next level. However, this course is also suitable for learners with little to no experience. At Black Belt level learners will mentor, advise and support Yellow and Green Belts, and take on senior project responsibilities.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this Lean Six Sigma Black Belt course. It is open to individuals with little to no experience, who are looking to move into a project management role as a Lean Six Sigma professional.

Progression

Once learners have achieved a certificate of completion on this course a range of senior and managerial job roles open up including process improvement manager, continuous improvement manager, quality manager. Six Sigma Black Belt manager, quality assurance (QA) director and operations director.
