Saul Larthe is currently working as an investment management assistant at Brewin Dolphin in Cardiff. His journey in the business industry started at Coleg Ceredigion as Saul gained a double distinction studying business at level three.
Saul Larthe said: “I’ve always had a keen interest in the business industry and after reading various business books and entrepreneur autobiographies I knew that was the career path for me.
“The course dives into small and large business case studies, and it’s vital to understand all areas of a business even if you specialise in one area, because everything is usually connected.”
After gaining his double distinction at the college, Saul successfully gained a place at Nottingham University’s Business School, studying a BSC in industrial economics.
Following his time in Nottingham, Saul quickly gained employment in the business industry and has steadily climbed the ladder to reach his current post.
Explaining how Coleg Ceredigion has helped him, Saul said: “I really enjoyed my time at the college and thoroughly enjoyed studying the course.
“Not only did I learn a lot on the course but the experience I gained has really benefited my line of work as well, such as improving my writing ability, critical thinking and interpersonal and communicating skills.
“Also I can’t thank my course tutors enough, if it was not for their engagement and help I would not be in the position I am. I benefited enormously from their continued support, feedback and their willingness to constantly discuss ideas.”
