Parent Zone.

Educational research shows that the partnership between students, parents or guardians and the College is vitality important for successful learning. This Zone is part of our commitment in establishing working partnerships between students, their families and the College to ensure that all students reach their full potential.

The College works hard to ensure students have impartial careers advice and works closely with schools to make the transition from school to College a smooth one. This transition process is extensive and includes visits to schools by former pupils and staff to provide information, subject transition links, taster days at our College, and Open Evenings, which take place periodically through the year.

Occasionally we have special events such as the Ceredigion Careers Festival. At this event, we team up with Careers Wales to bring some of West Wales' biggest employers and training providers together for a careers event at Aberystwyth Arts Centre. Its focus is on bringing people face-to-face with employers, training providers, further education colleges and universities.

With your help and encouragement I am sure you will find that your son or daughter’s experience with us will be a special one.  Safeguarding is a priority for us and our care, support and guidance provided to learners is an excellent feature of this inclusive College. In this context, all learners are treated equally and are expected to be tolerant and excepting of others. Above all, the College aims to inspire students, advance their skills, create a range of opportunities and ensure that each student achieves their potential.

The College staff look forward to working in partnership with you.
