This course is for candidates who work or want to work as a Site Carpenter or Bench Joiner in the construction sector. The course will provide the learner with the knowledge and skills to carry out first fix flooring and roofing work, in accordance with the current health and safety and Building Regulations in both new building projects and refurbishment works. The knowledge acquired by the learner will enable them to complete complex carpentry activities; it will provide knowledge of the associated components and materials and their uses in carpentry and joinery.

It has been specifically developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions and the tests are based on the learner showing what they can do as an individual.

Progression avenues for learners who complete the Level 3 in Site Carpentry qualification include:
A variety of assessment methods are used which include written knowledge questions, online and practical skills tests.
Level 2 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery, or previous experience carrying our carpentry activities equivalent to a Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery programme and a successful interview.
All learners are required to pay an administration fee of £45.00 prior to enrolment.
