Level 2 Diploma in Maintenance Operations (Construction)

Programme Description



The course will equip you with a broad range of skills which will develop the practical experience and knowledge required for Construction Maintenance. 

Throughout the course you will learn about small-scale repairs in various trades in the construction sector such as:

  • Building Brickwork
  • Painting and Decorating
  • Plastering
  • Plumbing
  • Carpentry repairs

Programme Features



This is a highly practical course and allows you to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in Maintenance Operations. You will have the opportunity to enter Skills competitions and visit exhibitions and businesses relevant to the construction industry.


Progression & Employment



On successful completion of this course you will be able to progress on to an apprenticeship or employment or, you can specialize in one trade area and continue your studies.


Programme Assessment



You will build a portfolio of work which will be assessed throughout the course as well as multiple choice question papers and practical assignments covering knowledge outcomes. 


Programme Entry Requirements



Entry is subject to a successful interview and a Level 1 Construction qualification. Entry for mature students without formal qualifications is at the discretion of the Curriculum Area.
