The Turing Scheme

https://www.turing-scheme.org.uk/about/

The Turing Scheme is the UK government’s global programme to study and work abroad.

Depending on your programme of study at the College, you will have an opportunity to learn abroad and gain vital international experience. Study abroad offers unique, career-building opportunities and will help you develop a host of new skills, and a better understanding of other cultures.

International study will help develop your independence. You can expect to be challenged but ultimately you will have one of the most valuable learning experiences whilst at college.

International study looks great on your CV, and often gives you an edge at interview!

Some of our students have engaged with Erasmus+ activities, which have provided work placement opportunities across Europe. Here are a few examples of Erasmus+ projects which will continue until 2022.

Students in Sport, Outdoor Adventure and Tourism at Coleg Sir Gâr will travel to Palma, Mallorca for work placement. During the 2-week trip, students will work in a surfing centre, sailing club and hotel.

Creative Industries students at Coleg Sir Gâr will travel to North West Spain for work placement.

Members of our Football Academy have work placements in Portugal.
