Learners will be in for 3 days a week to learn and develop their knowledge and understanding of working in the care sector.

You will be given the opportunities to develop your literacy, numeracy and your digital capabilities within this course and you will complete the diploma qualification within one year. 

Successful completion of this course may lead you onto a level 2 course.

The qualification will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include tasks such as designing charts or leaflets, coursework or methods such as oral questioning. 

Entry is dependent on a selection interviews. Entry for students without formal qualifications is at the discretion of the Curriculum Area depending on written evidence of previous study/ learning. You should be at least 16 years old. 

All learners are required to pay an administration fee of £25.00 prior to enrolment.

You will need to provide your own stationery, and may also incur costs if the department arranges educational visits
