Catering under lockdown
While many of us are currently working from home due to Covid19, the same cannot be said about key workers.
One key worker is former catering student, Josh Taylorson, who studied catering from level one to three at the college’s Cardigan campus.
Since leaving the college, Josh has earned employment at several establishments and is currently working as the cook in charge at Yr Hafod, a nursing home in Cardigan.
Creating mouth-watering dishes, Josh caters for the residents at Yr Hafod as well as being responsible for the rest of kitchen staff.
According to Josh: “I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Coleg Ceredigion.
“My time there helped me understand the different aspects of the hospitality industry and how to cater for people’s different needs.
“These are currently strange times, but I’m glad to be doing my part.”
Catering lecturer Huw Morgan states: “We’re pleased to hear of the progress Josh has made since leaving the college and proud of him during these difficult times.”
