Virtual inhouse competition
Coleg Ceredigion’s hairdressing students recently took part in an inhouse virtual hairdressing competition.
The four-week long challenge was held remotely due to the current pandemic with students using practice blocks instead of real models.
Local stylist Jess Webb who herself competes in Salon Cymru competitions kindly agreed to judge the competition.
In the level two category, Chloe Cox Parkin was announced victorious, with Carl Moulding taking second place and Sian James coming third.
Shauna Phillips was crowned champion in the level three category, while Bethan Ireland took second place.
According to lecturer Jane Clarke-Evans: “We are very proud of the students’ effort that went into the competition.
“They presented high quality work under difficult circumstances as we’ve been unable to hold a full practical session like we normally would due to the pandemic.
“Once again this year the students have shown great resilience and we as a department are proud of them.”
