Be Supported

Wellbeing mentors are available for you across all campuses for group work or more relaxed and confidential one to one support.  We also have excellent online resources which you might find very helpful.

A Wellbeing Mentor is available to help and advise you on a wide range of things and will support you as much as they can to overcome barriers that affect your studies.

You can easily book an appointment with a mentor and this can be made in a range of ways that suit you.

Either call in to their offices and ask to book a time that is convenient for you, ask your tutors to set the appointment up, or you can email them directly.

Sometimes referrals are made to the team by external agencies who support you or your college tutor, either way, we will carry out an initial assessment with you and will make sure that the right level of support is put in place and with the right person.

All learners are able to access the support and as long as the mentors know what the problem may be, they will do their best to help. They are also available to speak on your behalf to your tutors if you are not yet confident enough and then they work with you to develop the confidence and resilience to move forward within a safe and friendly environment.

We also run social events, transition activities and weekly workshops on various topics to help build confidence and resilience.

This support can have a positive effect on your college experience, so why not pop in and say hello and find out what the Wellbeing Mentors can do for you.
